Here, There, Everywhere!

Did you hear the latest about the literary extravanganza called The Pickwick Fest '12 coming your way on 15th, 16th and 17th October? No? Oh! You definitely, are missing something then. But not to worry! The TPF bloggers are here to update you about everything that happens around and about our much looked forward to festival.

So, not us, but Hindustan Times states says, on page 15 of today's edition (13th October, 2012) of the main paper, that TPF is a "MustDo!" event. Yes. A feature on our festival appeared in today's HT which described the idea behind the festival and extolled the genius writers who are the essence of our celebrations. Along with a picture edited by Belal Khalique, this article detailed various aspects of TPF and listed enough reasons as to why people should be a part of it. Cheers folks! This is just one of the feathers in our cap.

For those of you who have not seen it, here is what the article looked like.

Other than this, our festival has been given coverage on many online portals and blogs. The most prominent among these is Okhla Times, which published a detailed post on our blog, complete with a programme itinerary. Click here to view this post. This post is written by our very own Advisor, English Literary Association, Mr. Saroj Kumar Mahananda.

One of the very first updates on our blog was splashed on The Academic and Creative Writing Journal, published by Vikram Karve. You can read it 'Here'

Next up, a blogger-cum-book-reviewer, one with a blog  subscriptions in excess of 1000, by the name of Reshmy Pillai, wrote about TPF on her blog. Oh, and I believe Reshmy wrote about us under the best and the most creative heading: TPF - Where Desi and Firang Stories MixVix

Yatin Gupta, one of the most well-known book bloggers of Delhi, dedicated not just a single post, but created a separate page for TPF on his blog. He values books and gels well with book lovers, which shows in the warmth which he extended to our festival by helping in its promotion. Do see this Page for TPF.

Last blog which I located among the many which carry information about TPF is called My Open Voice. Run by my friend Gopan, it is a blog to which I was once a contributor. When I told him about our festival and the idea behind it, he was eager to post about us on his blog. You can view Gopan's preview to our literary carnival here

It is also imperative I tell you all that our festival is already a huge hit among college goers. Participants from four different universities are coming together to display their expertise on Dickens and Manto in various forms and through diverse mediums. The response to TPF was so overwhelming, that we had to close registrations two nights ago, much before the actual day of the festival. A big congratulations to all the organizers, in particular the Publicity Team led by Hina and Vismaiy.

Also, Aaqib Raza Khan, our in-house designer has given a novel and sophisticated touch to our publicity material by designing a simple, yet effective logo for English Literary Association. ELA is the body behind TPF. Led by Prof. M. Asaduddin and Mr. Saroj Kumar Mahananda, ELA keeps conducting literary events to extend the understanding of literature students beyond the walls of their classroom. Now, with the logo which Aaqib has designed, a new flavour will be added to the way we represent ourselves. Cheers to Aaqib, and to all of us, for painting the whole city in the hues of TPF!
